It is with a very heavy heart that we have to bring you the sad news that we lost our friend AWESOME DANCER on 28th November.

He returned lame to his stable following a routine canter, and the vet diagnosed a displaced fracture of his cannon bone. There is nil prospect of recovery from this traumatic injury, and the kindest step was immediate euthanasia to prevent further pain and suffering.

After the long battle to return our horse to race fitness, this is a devastating blow to all concerned. He was such a kind and bonny horse, and it is tragic that his life has ended this way.

The club is hugely grateful to George Baker and his team for finding and nurturing Awesome Dancer this past few years. At least we have the memory of that magical afternoon at Ascot that promised so much.
