Martin comes from a family with a keen interest in horse racing going back to the 19th century. In 1997 he became involved in horse racing ownership and has had interests in many horses since then. In 2006 he identified a yearling, which was purchased after discussion with other connections. This horse went on to win several group races including the Winter Derby and the Grand prix de Chantilly. Martin still has part-ownership of several horses.
Among Martin’s many other sporting interests are rugby, tennis, soccer, cricket and golf. He is also interested in opera, renaissance art and literature. Historically he has been engaged with an African development charity and takes a keen interest in world affairs.

Johnno set up JSC Comms in January 2004 and remains its Managing Director. JSC has quickly established itself a reputation as one of the most creative and reputable agencies in the sports and consumer PR industry with a wide variety of clients.
Johnno started his career at Craigie Taylor International (now Brand Rapport) as a PR Executive where his first clients included Vodaphone and the Famous Grouse.
After two years, Johnno was promoted to an Account Director and started to focus on horse racing accounts, working specifically on the PR for Jockey Club Racecourses such as Sandown Park and Epsom Downs, venue for the Epsom Derby.
Johnno specialises in working with major brands to develop their reputation amongst high-end clients. To this end, JSC is retained by major international names such as Investec and Sodexo.
Stephen is the third generation of his family to have gone into racecourse management. Accountancy and advertising were good experience but not the right fit. Luckily, he was in the proverbial right place at the right time when a management role came up at Sandown Park. Having then had what he regards as the privilege of running Epsom Downs and being in charge of The Derby for eleven years, he moved to Newmarket as MD in 2007 followed by a new role of Jockey Club Group Director of International and Racing Relations in 2011. He retired from The Jockey Club in 2023 and is now a consultant to a select but hopefully growing number of racing interests in the UK and abroad.
Married with four grown up children, Stephen enjoys all sport with boyish enthusiasm. Sadly, his talent for watching is not matched by his ability with bat, ball or putter - but he always tries, and he always has fun!
Dickon grew up outside of Cambridge, before moving to the Wirral to take up a marketing role at Aintree Racecourse. After 25 years up in the North-West, he is now the Regional Director for The Jockey Club, with responsibility for Aintree and Haydock Park. He also sits on the Sport Liverpool Board with the responsibility of promoting the City to a wider audience.
Dickon fell in love with horseracing after a visit to Newmarket in his teens and enjoys both codes of the sport, although with a bias towards Jumps racing, and particularly the Randox Grand National.
A very keen sports fan, he played cricket to a decent level in his younger days, and now enjoys a round of golf and has recently become a member at Caldy, one of the signature links courses on the Wirral, with the hope of getting the handicap into single figures!
Away from work, he is a supporter of various charities in the North-West and has two teenage daughters, who both enjoy playing hockey and other sports, Dickon is the regular taxi driver!
